We started this job by stripping the floor due to the condition that the grout and pitted holes were in, this is really a strong alkaline product used for stripping sealers but it’s also a very effective cleaning solution so to save the floor we used this strong product. The grout was also given a thorough and efficient scrub during this challenging work and once, that was done the soiled was extracted from the floor. After we began to restore the travertine floor using special pad diamonds in this particular job the client wanted the floor shiney so we started from a low grit to remove all the scratches and scuffs this begins at 200 grit, then goes on to a 400 grit, 600 grit, 800 grit and 3000 grit which the last 2 pads are a high shine finish providing a beautiful shine on the clients travertine stone floor.

After the floor had been thoroughly cleaned and polished we returned exactly 72 hours after allowing the floor to dry so sealer can bond into the travertine, the floor was moisture checked to ensure it had dried out properly, the floor was definitely 100% dry so we proceeded to seal it using two saturations of the sealing solution which is an impregnating sealer that fills the pores of the stone to prevent any dirt from being ingrained into the stone.
