The issue with this floor was that there had been a carpet laying ontop of it for quite some time and there were glues and bits of old gripper that needed to be stripped and cleaned off in order for this old beautiful floor to bring it back to life again! We began out the work by arriving at the job on the friday morning On Fairfield Road Oadby, We unloaded the van and spent no time getting work underway and started by applying a very strong stripper just to remove the glues that had been left over from the grippers and underlay. This strong stripper removes anything in its way within seconds of it being applied so we decided so it can work to its best we left it for a good half hour and then after we came in with wire brushes and hand pads and removed all the paints, glues and mineral salts on the quarry tile floor. After that was completed and rinsed we then applied a high alkaline solution onto the floor and left this for a short while to break down the remaining soils,  dirt and grease that had been building up on there over time. A while had passed and we began cleaning the floor using our rotary machine with an abrasive brush and pad to get the best out the floor, then we rinsed the floor thoroughly using our high pressured pump system. We then dried out the floor completely and left this for a few days to dry ready for it to be professionally sealed by our experts.

A Few days later we returned to Fairfield Road Oadby to test the floor and make sure it was at least 80% dry in order to seal the floor properly! It was definitely ready to seal so we proceeded on to applying an impregnated sealant that protects the pores of the quarry stone and provides a maximum surface protection. We applied about 4 saturations of sealant just to make sure it was almost like bullet proof and then we buffed in the excess of the sealant with a rotary machine.
