We started this job by spraying a ph neutral alkaline solution onto the quartz floor to begin breaking down all the grease and oils that was causing this smeary look effect (residue) on the tiled floor. After a little while of waiting for the solution to do its job, we started cleaning with our rotary machine and thoroughly scrubbed the floor with a fine scrubbing brush after this was all complete and cleaned efficiently we used our special wet vac and electric pump system to rinse all the soiled residue that was on top of the quartz tile. After the rinsing was complete we then dried out the floor to the best of our ability with a special wand that’s designed to remove any visible wet puddles that are on the quartz floor.

After cleaning and drying the quartz hard floor, we returned a few days later to apply the impregnated sealant which sits within the pores of the stone giving it maximum protection. The way that we seal these quartz floors is by applying a special sealant solution through a special very fine pump up sprayer and allow it to soak in for about fifteen minutes (depending on the porosity of the floor) then, with a rotary machine that spins at about 400 rotations per minute with a white buffer pad and buff the sealant until it’s 100% dry making sure there is no excess sealer left behind on the tile as this will smear the sheen on the beautiful quartz floor. As you can see from the photo we had taken above we made a huge difference to this floor removing all the residue that had built up now the floor looks like new again with another very happy client.
