Before we could reseal the beautiful victorian floor, we would need to strip of any old coatings or sealants that are still left on the floor and give a really good deep thorough clean. The way we did this is by diluting a high alkaline designed to deal with sealants, then left it for to do its job for about fifteen to twenty minutes before scrubbing it in with a rotary buffing machine fitted with a special scrubbing brush. After we had finished scrubbing we then washed it down with warm water which was then picked up using our state of the art wet vacuum system, stubborn areas such as paint and grout were then re-treated and grout lines also scrubbed. We then moved onto the last part of the cleaning process was to give the floor a final thorough rinse with more water to remove any trace of excess cleaning solution and then this was rinsed again, We then dried the floor as much as we could and left this to dry for about three days so the sealant could bond nicely.

After three days has passed we came back to seal the floor and the work we spent previously into getting it dry was very well spent as the floor had dried fully over the three days that we had left it and I was able to seal the Victorian hard floor with two coats of our best on the market impregnated sealant. This is a sealer that enhances the beautiful colours and occupies the pores on the victorian tile floor so that nothing can become ingrained into there, our award winning sealer also provided the matt finish that the client desired.
